This aired only once, as the August 4, 1961 edition of "WESTINGHOUSE PREVIEW THEATER", a summer showcase for a number of "burned-off" pilots, on NBC's Friday night schedule at 10pm(et). Gotta admire Phil Rapp for trying to sell this- if it had, perhaps Hal March's career might have been resuscitated sooner. Dave Willock's pretty funny, too [most people know him today as the voice of the "color commentator" on Hanna-Barbera's "WACKY RACES"].
This unsold pilot for a potential series initially aired on NBC's "WESTINGHOUSE PREVIEW THEATER" in the summer of 1961. Hal March was trying to make a "comeback" after his career was tainted by the quiz show scandals, as he was host of "THE $64,000 QUESTION" from 1955 through 1958, which went off the air when it was discovered that certain contestants were supplied answers in advance....he finally "re-emerged" as an actor and director in the mid-'60s, before his death in 1970.
Strange to see the late great Frank Albertson (later of "Chico and the Man" TV sitcom fame) without a moustache. This wedding clip reminds me of the dentist that married the manicurist. They fought tooth and nail!
It's Jack Albertson....who was also in Miracle on 34th Street..he's the guy in the post office who gets the idea to help Santa..

This is the first I have ever heard of this show. Was it a TV program or a failed pilot?
