the guitar of a thousand tones.its a great player too.it came with dimarzios off the shelf, hence the "d".big jumbo frets.just enough to get under them. it has an interesting toggle on it witch puts the humbucker in and out of phase with each other.it gets thick and crunchy one minute and then all these brian may tones start pouring out.or they would if someone could play it besides me.

  • @NecessaryKnowledge ...no, i cut the neck off of that one and replaced it with a neck from a s-60...same body...it worked but was never quite the same

  • i bought one in 78 at sugarman's eynan drugs in bighamton NY...it got it's neck broken in an auto accident....went to a les paul...then i finally looked on ebay a couple of years ago and bid on a mint 82 model....won it for $1035!!!!....i only paid $350 at sugarman's....but i don't care, it was worth every penny to get this one back

  • this is JUST like mine!!!!.....best electric!!!

  • I have one! It's white. With two different pickups (Not sure what kind :p) but it is a simply beautiful guitar and a wonderful gift that was given to me as a young child.

  • @theo9952 It's one-piece walnut with an ebony fretboard.

  • Mine is just like the one in the video except it has a vintage Bigsby tremolo! If it weren't for the Schaller machine heads, which are totally slip-proof, it wouldn't stay in tune. This was way before Floyd Rose, Kahler and Steinberger came along! And, of course, the tone versatility is awesome and rivals that of Brian May's Red Special (the Excalibur of axes).

  • I had the S-300 D with Dimarzios. It looks just like the one in the video! I bought mine in 1978! At Alex Axe on 48th St. Manhattan. It was stolen in the mid-90's at a Church gig of all things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is one identifying mark on that guitar, that I know it's mine!!!!!

  • I have an S-300D, an S-300, and an S-60. Best guitars ever.

  • I bought mine in 1977 - black mahogany with ebony finger board s300 with Guild Pickups - toured with it - recorded with it always come back to it - Better tan any of the fenders or gbsons I tried at the time. Still sounds and plays like a dream

  • i dont have one. that sux.....
