We visited the Chelan Ridge Raptor Migration Project site at Chelan Ridge, Washington (Chelan Ridge Important Bird Area) in early October 2009. Not many raptors moving through that day, but a female Golden Eagle was captured and tagged while we were there. We witnessed and filmed her release back to the skies, where she continued her southward migration.

It's so cool to see Eagles fly and glide like that. Last time I saw a Golden Eagle was a decade or so ago ... in New Mexico
