@Amasian21 There are almost ALWAYS crayfish in lakes. If you dont actually see them, just wait until the lake level is down and look on the side of mudbanks for the tell-tale signs of crawdads like dozens of little pits dug into the bank. A good thing to do is to set out some crawdad traps at different times of years so you can see what color crawdads are present at different times of the year so you can select your bait colors accordingly.

i have one, and it lands upside down most of the time....not cool being that the hook is not weedless! It needs a weed guard!

Can crayfish be fished effectively in fresh bodies of water with no creeks/rivers flowing into it? Because I always see Crayfishes in rivers and creeks, but never lakes.

@Amasian21 Oh yes! You can fish um on ponds and lakes or rivers. Just choose the correct color. And make sure the crayfish are out

@TeamRippnLipz1 I thought about buying one of these for nightfishing, but at $13.00 a lure, IDK if i could afford to lose them! But at any rate, what kind of gear are you using to throw it? a 7 ft+ heavy action frogging rod? Flippin Stick? Light swimbait rod? And how did you fish it- were you slow rolling it or ripping it up off the bottom, or slowly pulling it in short hops?
