OBAMA WATCH 09 Gitmo Are We Americans Cowards

Please, please, please think, be critical, be engaged. The national debate around Gitmo is fear-mongering and pure power politics. First, we must remember that the Gitmo Detention center was not opened to keep terrorist prisoners out of America for fear of attack, but rather to keep them out of America for fear of having to adhere to the Constitution. Second, how long are we willing to keep the place open? Will Gitmo be a permanent Marine base and detention center? Lastly, is anyone actually going to try and stand be the assertion that no facility in America can hold the detainees? That ... is spoonish, translated stupid. Sorry, but it's the truth. Hardin, Montana has stated publicly that they will take them. They have a brand new prison facility and no prisoners. Also, there is SUPERMAX. Are we cowards, or are we going to own up to our responsibility in this conflict? We must deal with our mess, bring it home, and reap what we sow. Be adults, standing ready to face the challenge, not asinine teens with no regard for responsibility. Consider it critically.

great puzzling questions ds what is the motive behind the scenes? is this just a media stunt to deflect attention from other happenings associated with the war? why is the teaser of public viewing of torture pictures suddenly withdrawn? i am sure that alcatraz or the prisons you mentionwould be adequate in the purpose of detainment of these prisoners as usual ds your opinion is appreciated ......................seek
