There's nothing wrong with pointing out the problems with capitalism. Those who equate capitalism's critics with communists or socialists are like the Moslems who can't handle criticism or even lampoons of their beloved prophet. Capitalism is the best system but it's far from perfect. Problems include income inequality, disempowerment of workers & consumers, and monopolies. The appropriate role of gov't is to try to address these problems. Right wingers call that "government intrusion."

@PoetryHound I would say western Europeans, Canadians and Australians have a better handle on capitalism in truer form than here in the USA... here in the USA, what is being practiced now isnt capitalism at all, its where corrupted politicians are turning a blind eye to bad business ethics due to them getting a piece of the action... capitalism isnt dog eat dog, nor is it wall street investment bankers rolling the economy, its all gotten twisted... consumers drive commerce, not industry.

Its a theory just like Socialism and Communism... they have never existed in true form anywhere in history... interestingly enough, the same man created these words/terms and concepts of captialism, socialism and communism... a very wealthy German University professor named Karl Marx.
