what came before god? did god exist an infinite amount of time before? i thought you said infinity didnt exist. have you found the last number of pi yet? i surely havent.
what if we magnify an object, or travel inward in space? we keep going smaller and smaller, you are saying we are going to hit the edge of the universe? unable to go any smaller?
are you uneducated?
have you any concept of a fractal?
you probably also dont understand what a hypersphere is.
you think if we travel one direction in space we will hit a wall?
you do realize we would end up where we started right?
A couple minutes into the video, I thought I wanted to comment. By the end of it, so many flaws popped up (a seemingly infinite number) in his argument, that I don't even know what I want to say anymore...
'Everything that has a beginning has a cause' : "this premise is constantly confirmed in our experience"
Yes. Our experience which is inextricably linked to the universe itself!
"The universe has a beginning"
The universe does NOT exist within a temporal frame. The universe is ITSELF a temporal frame within which we measure things such as 'beginnings'. Saying the universe had a beginning is like saying the earth points 'northward' in space. There is no such direction.
The problem with the phrase "an infinite number", is that it doesn't make sense. Infinity is a concept and therefore you can't measure it.
This is where the thought experiment, Hilbert's Hotel, falls down. Adding an extra number to infinity doesn't make sense, as infinity is a concept, not a number.
To move people from one room to the next would never finish, there would always be someone out of a room.
@darnit78 because this guy really doesn't deserve any. But here I go... He's a skilled debater, but a really bad philosopher and he makes false arguments. I can't stand him.

"1) An actually infinite number of things cannot exist." - Sir, Pi is infinitely long, you lose...
