  • Love this song, beautifully tuned and just one of Chuck Jackson songs that couldn't be beat. Very under rated artist. Love all of his music.

  • there arny out there in the music world as we know them today to compare to the singers of this caliber. If there are they are undiscovered because you have to be a thug with a criminal record and a criminal mind to make it in the music world. Wouldn't it be great if the real talents out there in the world could put on a show honoring the great singers of the past? The real talents out there have not been discovered!

  • I LOVE this song ... just awesome. Wish THIS type of music would return to our blah, bland, beige, "everyone sounds the same" music world today. UGH.

  • Chuck Jackson was a master soul man.

  • Chuck's voice --- magnificent! His voice matched with this orchestral score is a mini epic piece of joy!

  • Yes indeed, sing it Chuck!!!! Great song, and fabulous personality.

I can hear this over and over. Let's face it, this is really the way songs should sound like.

    Thanks.

  • I saw him sing this song at the Howard Theater in Wash DC. He had a lead-in to the song that had the audience in the palm of his hands. He talked about getting a phone call in the wee hours of the morning; a voice on the other end said, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck I need you baby. He replied, that he wanted to come back, but it was one thing that she had to know...I don't want to cry.

  • I love this song what a great contrast from then and now you can't even understand the lyrics

  • For those of us who never had a girlfriend in high school this song told a story for us

  • This song by CJ was featured on the 1965 LP of Murray the K's selection of hits.

  • Good stuff. Thanks.

  • Chuck Jackson really left great memories in my heart and soul. In the flat lands of NC, I sat in our kitchen late at night with a Silvertone transistor radio and let these things sink into my brain, song by song. Thanks for posting this. I'll have to come back often to remind myself of the great talents such as Chuck who helped walk all of us through puberty and young adulthood. Yes, I'm afraid we don't have the great talents today. Seems no one aspires to write or sing truly good material. Sad.
