  • very nice. Thank you.

  • @PepsiGurl93 In her autobiography Lauren Bacall said he died of esophageal cancer. As his cancer worsened, she said she saw him grabbing and pulling at his gut, as if he were trying to pull the cancer out from his body with his bare hands. Bogie wasted away till he was skin and bones, she said. How awful for him and awful for her and the kids.

  • No wonder they have to copyright some of these films there STILL THE BEST.

not that i understand all this copyright belony but good acting , Black and white.... ...bring it all back!.

get sick of the hack -n-slash no script & actors that would be better off doing the subways. THANK YOU FOR THIS , ITS GREAT!!! Bogart & cagney + Clint Eastwood ...some of the script makes me laugh , ? i could listen to a comedian all night and never a flinch but what these guys do & say tickles me button , y?

  • @Jackalman99

He died of complications from cancer of the esopahgus. Only in his late 50's when he died, the father of two young kids & leaving a beautiful young widow (Lauren Bacall.....his 4th wife). His lifelong habits of heavy smoking and heavy drinking no doubt accelerated his untimely demise.

  • It took Mr. Bogart many years to make it to the top.

  • Who is the singer?

  • why not put the freekin numbers on each clip ...berk.

  • He died of throat cancer. He was very well aware of his condition but it wouldnt stop him from smoking even though he had a young wife and kids. What a man!

I weren't born until 1980. As a prepubesant girl I had a crush on him and Anthony Ainley, od Dr. Who fame. I don't think I quite got it that they usually played villians and one guy was dead 20 years (or more, if you got it right) before I were ever born and the other guy was probably about 40 something when he was doing the movies with Tom Baker & Peter Davison.

I thought when TCM had a Humphry Bogart marathon thisspring, they said it was on account he died 50 years ago.

  • @Jackalman99 he did die of throat or lung cancer. He was a smoker. He died in 1957. I used to keep track of those things. My dad had an almanac and in the back it had all the past and present stars of stage, movies, etc. My sisters and I kept with who were living and who had passed on. Or to age myself, I remember when he died! lol.
