During four days in September 2010, Drammen was coloured by sacred music and rituals. Munks worked for three days creating a sand mandala in homage to the city, and finished by a ritual destroying the mandala and throwing its coloured sand into the Drammen River. There was a Turkish ensemble presenting Dervish Mevalan traditions, there were indigenous artists and traditions from Brazil, Australia and Japan, the Sami people in Norway, and religious and sacred rituals from many other places.
