Barack Obama is NOT for national health insurance. The banks and the car companies are not nationalized entities. Health care, banks, and maybe car companies should be nationalized. Jackie, Israel (and I am a supporter of Israel) has socialized medicine, and Israel were created by Jewish Socialists in the first place.

France, San Marino, and Italy all have BETTER health care than the United States, and they all three have universal socialized medicine. That's who America should be listening to, not Teabagging rednecks with trailer park mindsets.

Why can't a doctor be an independent businessman as he more or less has been for a couple of hundred years in the USA? Isn't that what made it possible for the huge advances in medicine during this time? Why should the doctor be made a ward of the state while the plumber, electrician and others are largly left free? What Jackie is saying is true but to me this is the essential issue that is ignored when proposing socialized medicine.

We have the best healthcare system in the world aye? Tell that to my single mother who's worked non stop every single day of her post-college adult life. She might be developing MS and we can't afford the premiums, so I guess she's doomed huh. As I listen to your irrational demagoguery, I notice a miraculous absence of facts. @uche007us I don't have an opinion one way or the other because it's an extremely complex issue and I'm not going to pretend to understand it all, since like almost everybody, I only know a little bit about it. But clearly you can't compare the national health care system of a nation of less than 8 million with that of one with about 300 million. Just because it works for Israel (I'll assume that you're right about that) doesn't mean that it will work in America.
