I am working on this piece for cello, and I am surprised how well it sounds on bass ocarina. Such a melancholy feel; very effective.

@ocarinadiva I was just thinking of another tune that would sound good on an ocarina - the theme to Princess Mononoke. It would probably be more suited for a higher register, but I think it would sound best on a bass ocarina - to get that breathy sound. Also I was just wondering, is it possible to play stuff like bach flute sonatas and so on with ocarinas? Well maybe not enough range.

@intormentis I've actually recorded a soprano and bass version of the Mononoke Hime. Just search my videos for Mononoke and you'll find them :) I' have videos for all 4 movements of Handel's HWV 362. As for range, sometimes you'll have to transpose, but you can play a lot of music with a triple :)
