This is a guide on how to paint the brake calipers on your 2008 Lancer
NOTE: Im not held responsible for any damage or any injury caused by performing this modification, do this at your own risk.
If you do this modification by paintbrush, do at least 3 coats, leaving to dry around 30 minutes between coats. Once you have completed the 3 or more coats, apply at least 2-3 coats of clear to protect it.
If you dont want to use a paint brush, you can spray it like the can intends, but you have to mask off your entire wheel well, brake pads, parts of your car etc.

Get some axle stands , They might just save your life when that jack fails...

loosen the lugs before you jack the car up then when the car is jacked take the lugs off. by doing so... you have a slighter chance of having the car fall of the jacks. =)

nice idea using the paint brush, its better to spray the paint in the bottle you got there then possibly oversray by the paint can.
