  • Watched this film courtesy of VinnieRattolle's site (see his comment below). It drags on a bit, but it's otherwise a fascinating piece of cinema for anyone interested in the underground nature of 60s/70s gay culture. Rue McClanahan actually isn't in it all that much, her screen time is pretty limited, but she plays the fag hag character very well.

Love the movie's theme song too - so early-70s!

  • Rue McClanahan + Candy Darling = THE BEST MOVIE EVER.. Rue is also pretty damned hot in this little piece of celluloid sugar; While my girl Candy is uncharecteristically dressed down, playing a boy..

Really, really, really great piece of kitsch.

  • @poodlesandcheese I can't post direct links here, but google my name ("Vinnie Rattolle") and the title of the film and you should be able to find my blog, which has a download. Don't get confused though -- the 2001 sitcom "Some of My Best Friends" is also available on my blog.

  • This film is able for purchase at Mod Cinema. (I've ordered DVDs from them in the past, and the print quality tends to be good.)

  • Like everyone else, I have tried to find this movie. Where can I find it?

  • I need to see this!

  • Hey I really really want to see this movie any ideas on where to find it online? or anywhere???????

  • I have been trying to track this movie down as well....

    Any suggestions ?

  • I've been trying to track down this movie for ages...

  • If anyone has this movie PLEASE post it! It looks really interesting, plus I'm a huge Rue McClanahan fan.
