This is a great time to be a dirt oval fan as this segment has never been stronger. Losi has helped in this resurrection by releasing several 1/18-scale dirt oval cars. For those looking for a larger dirt oval vehicle, theres the 1/8-scale L8IGHT Model. But until now there hasnt been anything to bridge the gap between the 1/18-scale minis and the 1/8-scale behemoths. That is where the 1/10-scale Slider comes into play.

At 1/10-scale, this Slider comes equipped with everything someone would need to get up and running with a dirt oval car the right way. The upper wing has a number of different mounting points to alter the downforce and handling of the car. The suspension is fully adjustable and features oil-filled threaded body aluminum shocks, turnbuckle camber and steering links, and multiple shock mounting locations in both the a-arms and shock towers. Check out the video below for our comprehensive performance review. For more technical information on the 1/10-scale Slider, you can check out our preview here on HorizonHobby.com, search Article 1817.

  • you can only race them 5 or 6 times then the stock motor is crap but there really cheap they dont even have removalable brushes

  • @mortie806 As it is a brushed motor you will need to clean and maintain it between runs. Cleaning it out with motor spray will definitely improve the life and performance of the motor. I know I have dozens of runs on mine before I have to replace it.

  • Apparently RC dudes don't get a lot of exercise.

  • Ouch.... But LOL too :)

  • Hey guys, the only suggestion I have for the car since your most recent rebuild is to make the stock wings more sturdy. I ended up mashing the front wing in half in a few races and the top wing begins to tear up after a few races too. It would be great to not have to build one because it always looks better coming from the factory IMO. But of course we'll have to buy another one anyways :P

  • It was a joke dude.

  • I like RC Racing and I play soccer and ride my bike at least 6km most days to and from school and i dont class myself as over weight.

  • can i have a Horizon RC sticker for my car

  • yeah there is a dirt oval racing car called a sprint car but for this RC version they called it a slider because when sprint cars go around the corners there sliding.

  • wat is a slider

  • Heh. I'm so lazy I got into RC planes just to get me out of the HOUSE!

Although, I'm not overweight so my flabbiness is really more on the inside. :-/
