2009 Smart ForTwo. More and more Americans are learning to appreciate small cars for their fuel efficient, easy to park natures. Taking that formula and amplifying it is the Smart ForTwo, a sub-sub compact that has been sold in Europe for years but is set to push the boundaries of Americas small car appreciation.

Capable of parking in impossibly small spots, the ForTwo is made for city dwellers. Its also made for environmentally concerned citizens, as illustrated by its 40 milesper-gallon-plus highway fuel economy. Add to that a starting price around $12,000 and the Smart ForTwo might be an alternative for car buyers who want to save cash and the planet.

  • @USANAmillionaire my toothpick has more power than that!

  • @ronald6carib because similar fuel is not the same as 40 mpg? because its small and easy in the city? its only 12k? you dont buy a smart car for anything but the city or you're an idiot. you dont buy one for cargo and passenger space either. i admit its not the smartest idea but its not the work by far

  • Why is this car smart when there are lot of full size cars that offer similiar fuel economy, carries more passengers, offer better performance, better safety, and cost almost around the same price range?

  • amazing piece of machinery

  • piece of shit

  • A friend of mine totaled one of these....a bug hit the windshield going 30 mph. Imagine if she was going faster! phew!

  • I think I had to pull one of these out of the grill of my F-150.

  • @bolognadetector if you look at there site in the past month or two they have added many more upgrades and now gets 50+mpg of course this has also increased the price.
