1957 is usually a bit early for me, but here's Jimmy (Jimmie) Lloyd, aka. Jimmy Logsdon, with "Where The Rio De Rosa Flows".

  • I never thought I would hear Jimmie Logsdon again. I remember hearing him in 1953 and I thought he was relly going places. Never quiet made it though and I can't understand why.

The song I remember were "papaya mama" and "I wanna be mama'd". He kinda dropped from radio play in our neck of the woods after that.

    Thanks for posting this *****

  • Thanks, and pleased to bring the memories back.

  • This is the best version ever made :o)

  • I'd agree!

  • My Father was Jimmy Logsdon and I have some fond memories when I was a child. He's been gone now since 2001 but his music still lives on.

  • I think Grady Martin and Hank Garland are playing here.

The guitar break is Grady for sure.

    Floyd Kramer on piano.
