the last part of this video i got teary eyed how she held sergei on 7:37 the last time she ever held him that close :,,,,(

Yes Sergei was the perfect partner. He was very strong but he also held Katia with the utmost reverence and care. You could see the love.
-
In her book she mentions that Sergei was in so much pain skating this. You can't even tell he's hurting here. What a couple
-
In Katia's book she mentioned he trained with a heavy steel chair.
-
I'm sure Katya is very light... but man, Sergei was so strong! He could hold her in the hardest positions! Like that las one... the really did had the poise of a Prince...
-
I was shocked to learn that Sergei died at a young age; such a talented pair of ice skaters! You can tell that Scott Hamilton was on the verge of tears as he said this last performance was dedicated to his memory.
We'll never forget you, Sergei...
-
There will never be another skating pair that compares to this team. Their skating was a gift to the world.
RIP Sergei.
-
Just magical...can't watch it without crying....Eta bila samaya lutshaya para figuristov, hands down!

this is such a heartbreaking performance.
on a comic note though, i remember katia saying she dreaded riding on the horse the most coz the horse might just kick her off or something, and come to think of it, there are lots of funny vids of people being kicked off their horses just out of the blue. but on actual performance, katia just smiles as if she's been riding horses all her life.
Thank you so much for posting this. What a beautiful memory of Katia and Sergei's last performance. How ironic are the last two lines of this song:
"If I'd never known you,
If I'd never felt this love"
G&G were the epitome of love.:)
