Thanks for the video Pete! You give great info in a clear & consise way. I love 1911's , I shoot best with them. I have and subcompact xd 40, sig sauer 2022, S&W 38special, and kimber & GI 1911. I carried a colt 1911 in the marines 1967, and loved it. Keep up the good work Pete!

I thought this video was terrible. He didn't try to make it short like he said. There was a lot of useless footage that didn't need to be included. This was not helpful at all.

use needle nose plies to help put the sear disconnect in, worked for me on my first time disassembling and reassembling whole gun :) hope that helps your vid sure did
I did a complete disassembly and reassembly on my Kimber Custom II on Saturday. Its got a spring loaded lock or something like that that holds in the firing pin so it dont shoot out at you when removing the stop plate. That I thought was a great idea.

@GenColinBowel most of the new 1911s have that firing pin stop

You're channel is such a great resource, man. My wife got me a Springfield Loaded for Xmas, and I've learned so much about it by watching your videos. I probably won't be doing a full disassembly anytime soon, but I'm confident I could thanks to you. theARMORYchannel is the shit AND the urine. You're a fine American :)
