to settle this dubsteps base is the beat, if you don't have a good beat, your track is going to suck big time(like brostep only has 1 kick and 1 snare that is not a good beat), the bass comes second after you have made the beat, you make it fit and make it phat to the beat, there isn't another way to make a good track or at least it's the easiest way, so not to say the bass isn't the most pronouced thing about dubstep, but riddem is always the base of the music, in any genre

I put on this track..got hyphy...and woke up 3 months later in a padded cell, drooling all over my straight jacket..can you get THAT hyphy!?!?

@Klinsi89 dude you're dumb as shit. dubstep is about the bass. but mostly about the fuckin SNARE and beat !!!!! that's why Rusko fuckin owns. Bass comes second :)
