Chopin Nocturne No.20 in C minor, Posthumous. Maybe the sheet goes wrong, there is NO right hand in the middle, but anyway i just follow the sheet. i named it "weep in depression", which fits me so much..and i like the light and darkness in this video. i like this piece because this can, sometimes, save a person's life. if you have seen the movie "pianist" and the memoir "pianist" by Szpilman, you will know that Mr. Szpilman played that one to the German officer who was affected by his piano skill.

  • Good job on the playing. I'm currently trying to learn this piece, but I have trouble with the runs at 3:25 , so if you have any tips for me, I'd really appreciate it.

For those of you who were wondering---

Go to the website free-scores . com, and under Search choose Piano from the instruments list. Then type in Nocturne C Sharp Minor. In the results, the fourth link should be the right one.

    Enjoy, and have fun.

  • Thanks for the comments.

You don't have to use finger 1 and 3. Use fingers that you feel comfortable (you can use finger 2 and 3). One more tip, practice makes perfect. I made lots of mistakes when recording this video...

  • beautifully played. you got the right stuff in the piece and I think your piano sounds rather nice! my score doesn't have right hand in the middle part too.

  • online version doesn't have right hand in the middle part. and the left hand seems not right either. it seems one dude created and spread out...

  • 很好聽!加油

  • There are at least THREE different manuscripts for this piece. One has the RH part, one doesn't. One has D sharp in the LH near the beginning, one has F sharp like the analagous places later in the piece. I suggest that you search for Rami Bar-Niv's performance on YouTube to find something that approaches a definitive version.
