despite the common misconception, F5 tornadoes are not necessarely (i cant spell) the huge whirling black masses you would expect, the can be quite small and thin, take the Elie, Manitoba tornado for example, it was a small and thin but incredibly destructive F5 tornado, but i do believe this twister was rated F3, and the fujita scale rates the wind speed based on the damage :)
Very big tornados are multi vortex some f5 tornadoes are one vortex they do the same damage but are smaller. The F rating is the damage rating not size it is linked with wind speed but the rating is not official till the damage has been examined.
@xxcurnuxx This was actually just north of the lone tree texas tornado. It happened about an hour after. It did damage to one building and was said to be an f4 but the damage path and damage to the roads <---- it actually ripped up the pavement from the roads it passed at its peak suggested it prob at one point was an f5.
