@mrBr00k5 ------I used to think that if you could do something soild state with no moving parts the efficiency would be much better because there would be no energy loss due to friction. Now I am not so sure about that. The efficiency with soild state might be better but there is definitely a higher "Fun factor" when something spins around in front of you.

@User2718218 i would say you are tommeLreed xD ( professional troll skills ).I never went to disneyland, it's probably for kids only. Not sure why you are trying to bash others fun of building generators. Seems like you are not in the right place to post constructive comments. There are many people randomly poping up with strange dynamo results that others never manage to reproduce. Dreams drive the future. Not trying = failure for sure.

Looking good Lid, that's encouraged me to build a cheap version. Where can i get GroundLoops diagrams, on OU.com ?

Lidmotor good job!!!
Believe that performance has increased relative to the previous tests?
Cheers and good luck.

@Lidmotor Ok thanks, I must have missed something. I will go look again as I thought he said he used insulated single strands of copper wire in his coils that were twisted together like a cable. He found this type of wire in the deflection coils of a old computer CRT. This is the same type of wire used in AC generators to lower the current and voltage loss. This caught my attention.

you should try a cement battery as the cap.
Lidmotor, RomeroUK stressed out the importance to "tune" the unit for a specific load. Also, it looks like the unit will perform at a specific RPM for the best input. Do you plan to investigate this at one point ?
Keep it up, it's really fun to follow your progress ;) cheers

@psaiipsaii ---Yes. I have already been doing some load testing. When I get all the coils mounted and all the bridger rectifiers wired then I can do more.

Thanks Lid, you're getting close there. Need more coils maybe?

@2TEKTRON2 ------Yes! More coils !!!! More coils Scotty !!! "But captain the rotor can't take much more!"
