Athletics Kenya is once again embroiled in controversy. Just days after an exchange between the federation and the ministry of Sports over the Kiptenden athletics camp, AK is now in the middle of a sanctioning row. AK sanctioned two races for the 29th of this month, in the Nyeri Half Marathon and the Masai Mara marathon.

We should have marathons, Ekidens (Japan style relay marathon), road races, track events everywhere and anytime, so as to give people an opportunity to discover their talent, earn an experience, maybe earn some money and have fun. No wonder we lost ING NYC Marathon! Seniority complexes. What so special running a race anywhere anytime? Yu need a certificate of approval even for a local initiative?

what are the rules and requlations of starting a race. this people follow the jungle principals. kenya has become a nation of idots. what happen to sitting down and agreeing or disagreeing on issues. everyone is doing their own stupid thing at the corner. idiots
