A very nice little reel-to-reel deck by Sony. 3 heads, 4-track stereo.

  • I bought one at an estate sale. I didn't even know if it worked but it was cheap. No thingies to put on the reels to keep them from falling off. My smart neighbor gave me two new erasers you put one the end of pencils and they seem to work. He is a clever guy.

I have no manual. Do I need one?

  • Although a manual would be helpful, you usually don't have to have one if you're familiar with operating one. Although the Sound on Sound may be tricky if you're not familiar with how to do that. If you want, I could make a video on how to operate a basic reel-to-reel.

  • I just brought one of these from a car boot sale for £5, it's quite dusty and has a few loose bits inside it but it works at least.

  • May you please make a video of it?

  • My Dad gave me one of these about 15 years ago and l stopped using it full time around 10 years back. However, I take it out from under the stairs every year and give it a clean and 'run-up'. This unit never fails to start up and function. Its surprisingly crisp clear audio never fails to instil nostalgic memories of my Dad playing all those Goon Show episodes that he recorded direct from the Radio onto R2R tape. Not everyones cup of tea as far as technology goes but it sure has character.

  • TC 350 is direct drive...no belts to mess with [except the counter].

  • Readers Digest stereo. My sister ordered one of those in the mid to late 1970's. It had 4 3-way speakers, and BSR record changer.

  • My dad had a 350 when I was a kid. I had hours of joy recording on it playing DJ and babbling about 3rd grade. And NO... they don't like to be stood up.

  • I just got mine back from having it "restored" and It now has a rumbling sound in the right channel. It does work better than when I shipped it out though. Got in on Ebay for 50.00 after a partial refund. I'm thinking on sending it back to the restorer to get done right.

  • I grew up with this deck and made so many recordings of friends records. I loved that thing! Excellent sound too!

  • he knows what hes talking about ive got an akai open reel deck its awesome

  • I just picked one of these up today. I have an old tape somewhere of the radio in the 50's or 60's. There's a Burger Chef commercial on it, LOL. I might make a vid of it for you.
