Growing up my Great grandmother had one of these by her bathroom. I was scared to go down that hallway. Now I want one of clocks to so my kids the horror of my child hood. lol

@TheMusicInMyBrain -- to me the ticking is not loud at all, you definitely hear it, but to me it's soothing. I just got a Kit Kat Clock for Christmas, have wanted one for years, and one of the best gifts I have ever received, next to a good box of chocolates, of course.

Hey thinking of getting on of these . . is the ticking too loud? I know that's a weird question but it's to replace a clock in my room and the ticking was so loud that I couldn't sleep at night

@TheMusicInMyBrain If you are not tolerant of ticking - I wouldn't recommend one of these. You would notice it in a quiet room, they do have a significant tick. Mine is in the kitchen with the hum of the fridge etc.

How much time the movement last? I mean... how much time the batteries last?

@kinematico They last ages, it takes two large batteries size 'c' I think. I can't remember the last time I changed them.
