This tutorial focuses on creating a rigging system for a bone system of a simple 3D character. By using IK Solvers and Wire Parameters, I create a spinal rig that allows a character to emulate human movements. This tutorial may be confusing due to the use of linking and wire parameters, please comment for any questions. This tutorial is part two of a two part video for the spine rig.

I apologize the video quality is not great, I plan to re-record these videos soon. Rate and Subscribe for more information about design software programs and animation.

  • I did it fine (no error on bone positions), but when I move the first controller to move all column, moves 2x the 2nd controller, and the 3rst too but in 2x too. Individually, every controller works fine, but that's the trouble. I wanna move automatically the 3rd controller (4x) moving only the firstone. Thnx for the tutorial (Y)

  • @Shamouna It should be all done with linking the rigs together. The reaction manager can connect bones that are a part of the same IK Chain, but the links help move together. Good luck

  • why does my head rotate 90 degrees to the left when i align all the spines?

  • It may be an issue with your wire parameters. I came into contact with that sometime ago. Make sure you freeze all your rotations before linking things together.

and few crap quality videos with GOOD teatchers

  • im gonna redo this whole sectoin again later tonight, fresh start, but so far i've followed all your instructions flawlessly and had no problems. after doing this video, my spine broke up. the neck works fine, individually, the middle works fine, individually, and the base works fine, but they arent connect to each other. after attaching the wires, it broke the connections between non wired bones. im gona start over, see if i can find what i did wrong, but help would be much appreciated!

  • Hey im been looking how do you make a bone twist??? rotate side ways with a helper to control the xrotation? Mine doesnt rotate.... just rotates in y axis not x axis.
