In the playoffs 2010, the Lakers went on to win the series in six games capturing the Western Conference Championship and advancing to the NBA Finals for a third straight season. In a rematch against the 2008 Champions Boston Celtics, Bryant and the Lakers came back from a thirteen point third quarter deficit in Game 7 to win the championship, giving Bryant his fifth championship and earning him his second consecutive NBA Finals MVP award. This marked the first time the Lakers won a Game 7 against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
