This is a video that was recently sent in to us anonymously. It's not
often one of our high powered Porsche package cars lines up with one of
our high powered Nissan package cars. We're not sure where this took
place or exactly when, but we found it interesting enough to share. It
would seem that we're doing our part to keep the Nissan/Porsche rivalry
alive! Disclaimer: We do not support or condone street racing as we
prefer to run at the track. However, it would be a lie to say that it
isnt' cool to see these two cars running side by side.

  • I read somewhere that that type wing actually creates a lot of drag and slows the car down in high speed runs like this...any input switzer?

  • @jdmmaster The one that is on the GT2 is absolutely necessary when you are at 800rwhp. There is a reason we call it the Undertaker...

The one on the GTR, some say it is optional, others not. We have not tried to prove otherwise, however I do know that the rear end of these tend to "drift" outward at up to a 30* angle when at full power on the stock summer tires at over 800awhp.

  • @RCC4487 I'm not Switzer, but I could name a couple of reasons.

The GT-R is geared for 0-100 and quarter mile times. So its close down low, tall up high. Also the aerodynamics. The GT-R has a bigger cross section, so it has to displace more air. The 911 is torquier too.

Generally though, mass has less and less importance as acceleration goes down. So in a race from 300, the car with more power sould win despite its mass, ruling out all other variables of course.

  • @SwitzerPerf On top end the GTR's (in general) seems to be slower than expected, is this because of weight, aerodynamics or something else? I believe its the weight, correct me if im wrong please.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Bye bye Zilla :)

  • All the people raving about 300 +. How many times do your races end up that high? Wait... Can you do the 300 on short tracks? Or maybe where you usually get the dices at 1/4 miles or maybe from robot to robot?

If you think racing is dangerous... How about above 300 on the highway?

Are you really serious? Even the bugatti when you want to reach to its tops you must stop the car and then use another key. Now I wonder why they did that...

How many times do you exceed 300?

    Stop blowing smoke.

  • @fanaticastype - LOL. And how many times do you chase above 300?

  • @deki05 - mmm The alpha would beat that. There was a Nissan Skyline doing it in 13.6 I believe. Now the Alpha 12 will beat it.

  • German Ingeniering

  • @fanaticastype "Japanese technology can never match German." Turbo S beaten, GT3 RS beaten, GT3 RS 4.0L beaten... And the GTR is cheaper sorry germans lose!!!

  • @marcosmendez25

I rarely really laugh out loud at posts, but Cornzilla made me lol for real.

  • ...wasnt expecting that haha FAST porsche!
