Recorded on August 27, 2008 using a Flip Video camcorder. Short version of the croeder crash. Really more of a laydown, but the first for him.

  • Wow... Are they really that hard to pick up? Almost as bad as a streeter! I was thinking of getting one for some trail riding and street but maybe I will look at something lighter.

  • They aren't that bad to pickup if you use your legs. The bike is over 400lb with a full tank of gas oils, add to that any gear and extras you have put on the bike and it is 450+ depending... The guy in this video had issues picking up his bike, and it was his first ride off-road. For a great dual-sport bike, it is hard to go wrong with the KLR.

  • can't go at it half hearted stand on them pegs and go for it, mine never lets me down, just don't use the brakes use the throttle

  • @stew100 I put lowering links on mine and now when I dump it, it is easier to pick up. Having that lower center of gravity has made a difference in ride-ability, too.

  • yeah, that was crash.. I hope driver wont hurt..

  • @edwin00420 Yup, I ended up getting one about a year ago. I absolutely love it! I've had quite a few bikes over the years but I have to say this is my favourite! Oh, and I have had to pick it up once and it wasn't too bad at all :)

  • @zawe71 What, kind sir, would you suggest?

  • @stew100 dude, they only weigh 400 pounds or so. the lightest 650, i believe...

  • worst fucking bike to take off road. heavy as fucking hell with shitty suspension... the shittiest suspension actually.

  • gun shots in the back round?

  • I have binned my KLR 18 times in 2 years. 28 000 km's on dirt. Easy to pick up if your'e not bogged down in snot clay. Training, or rather a lack of structured training is a pertinent issue. Old habits die hard. ongoing offroad adventure training is essential.

  • @thejlb1 yep ur right on
