I can't tell you how much I love everything you said in this video. To see someone so real and genuine is always refreshing. I grew up Christian and am no longer very religious, but I think it is so important to learn about and respect what people believe. You are just brimming with love and positivity, and it's so encouraging! I think the hijab is such a beautiful thing, it allows for so much expression as well as modesty. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Lots of love! :)

@AEdel72490 I am also hard of hearing and I feel it depends upon the thickness of the scarf. The thicker the more difficult it is to hear. So I tend to stick with thinner ones (as I am still experimenting with the Hijab "style"). Also I think the ear holes under scarves will make a huge difference in our ability to hear through the fabric.

I'm not a hijabi, but then again i'm not female. i don't have a problem with non Muslim women wearing hijab. The more the merrier & respect for adorning one is what I say. & extra respect for my sister Amenakin for covering the topic.

I absolutely love the idea of hijab! Me being catholic, our church promotes modesty and until the 60's women had to cover their heads in church. I'm not however very modest, meaning in the summer i wear shorts and a tank top and in the winter i wear skinny jeans and a delia's shirt. Don't get me wrong, I hate t see perfectly beautiful girls flaunting their bodies in playboy magazines and that sort of thing, i just tend to wear what's practical for where I live according to climate. God bless you

@Amenakin My husband is the kind of man who doesn't care if his daughter marries a Christian "as long as he's a true man of faith." Anyway, I love your video. Thanks.

@KelseyBoobox I also discovered the idea of veil/Hijab from the muslims. I didn´t even know it was in the bible before. The practice of veiling had been forgotten long enough in my country to be considered an all islamic idea when muslim immigrants came. But as I´ve read about it I´ve discovered it has been/ is practiced in like EVERY single religious group! Who am I to say which belief is the truth, but something mentioned in every text must have some truth to it!
It´s incredible.. uncovering the hair is something so new in Western society. In the near past, women might show their hair but always used some kind of hat or headscarf, specially when they were walking down the streets

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
is this negativity too?

@totalsubmition To answer your question: no, I don't think your message is "negativity". I'm not sure whether you were asking a rhetorical or sarcastic question. If you're referring to the niqaab, then I'm of the strong opinion that it is not obligatory.
