CSX Q415-17 heads westbound with a big power team today. Lead by CSX CW60AC units #691 and 630 and SD80MAC's #4602 and 4592 this train has a lot of horse power. Note the lead engine rocking as it switches over to the branch.

  • was this train headed to dc

  • It comes through DC on the Metropolitan Sub then into MD. It then goes down the Alexandria branch back through DC, over the 14th St bridge and into VA.

  • He was heading eastbound.

  • You are correct up to the point he switched over onto the west leg of the wye. Really he starts to go south at this point but since south is west and north is east in CSX land and since the train has an odd number it is considered a westbound train. Screwed me up for awhile.

  • Good video there bubba2781. The SD80MAC engines could've be in the front instead of the AC60CWs. But AC60CWs are my favorite engines.

  • i cant believe those 80MAC's were heading 2 rocky mount yard!!!!

  • i wonder who would win that tug of war SD80MAC or AC6000?

  • An AC6000CW is basically a ramped AC4400CW & a SD80MAC is basically a ramped up SD70MAC.

  • Mine too.

  • AC6000cw's are also my fave's but SD80mac are also among my favorites

  • agreed
