I have to say this: I HATE THE NEW SOUND EFFECTS that have been added to these Robotech videos. The sounds that you hear when they shoot at each other or fly around are not the original sounds. The people who produced this "remastered" version have changed the sound effects. I thought I could get use to it, but I can't. I want the original sound fx!

@laughingfurry The re writers of the show probably just couldn't find a good alternative to the actual japanese line and threw that in there for a joke, it may have been a dead serious moment in the japanese show mospedea.

I got this episode from an online shop and was confused from that line. Makes no sense. Glad to see it's actually in there, but at the same time I'm very confused of it's placement.
