Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking: Simon/Peter(& Alisha) [Misfits]

I have alot to say about this one -- where do I start. Hmm, well this is Grade A True HD logo-less Misfits. I only used episode 03x03. So, hit the HD button if you'd like to make it extra shiny.

This video came out of nowhere. Last weeks episode (03X04) brought Peter back and killed him all with in about 2 minutes. It made me realize how much I liked the character and how good 03x03 was. I had no song. It took me all of a day searching the internet and my music to come to this song. I love this song and I have always wanted to vid it (for years). I feel it is absolutely perfect for this story.

I do ship Simon/Peter, they look adorable together and they really could have been best friends. But this isn't really a shippy video. It's more of a power struggle type deal.

If you don't watch Misfits basic gist: Simon is dating Alicia, he saves Peter from a mugger. Peter forces his way into Simon's life through a power that he has. The power to have his drawings (comics) come true. He really just wants a friend but finds Alicia an obstacle to Simon and tries to get her out of the picture with increasingly brutal attacks. Alicia is a tough girl and does what she can to fight back.


This is one of those videos that mostly fell together naturally. Though... it took longer than expected and I definitely had a few hiccups. I see so many gorgeous videos and I've taken to being even more of a perfectionist on serious videos. I like what I was able to do with it and I hope you do to.


Fan-girl Notes and An offer of a Date:

So I'm sure you guys know that recently young adults in the military service have used you tube to ask out celebrities... right? So why can't I. On the off chance that Michael Marcus Morgan (Peter) is searching himself on the net and comes across this video I'd like to extend an offer for a date.

Michael, if you ever find yourself (single) in the United States I would love to take you to dinner!

And since he'll never see this I'm gonna fan girl now and say how cute he is!! I want to keep him, and his fake superhoodie outfit. Yup. It has to be illegal how appealing I find him when he goes full on evil and rocks that fake superhoodie outfit. *Sigh* I just have a thing for villains. Staring at him and Iwan for days to edit this was NOT a chore! :P



Finally Dedications:

This was made with the intention of granting one of Tenesha's (TheKG2002) wishes. Ironically I decided to post my own wish list thinking 'what the heck' and had wishes granted by Terry (ThePippinFlippin). I expressed that I wanted to pay her back somehow. She asked for nothing but name dropped 'Misfits' and thus it also became for her!


Tenesha, this is for your wishlist. Happy Holidays love! I find it hilarious that I ended up making you a video before you even started my birthday video! I am using this video as an excuse when your birthday comes around and I have no motivation. Yup.


Terry, thank you for your surprise gift! It's honestly the last thing I expected. I am one of those people who remember little things forever and this will be one of them. Happy Holidays, I hope many random acts of kindness come

This is stunning. I've not caught up on series three yet, but now I've got to soon! This is my fave SP song so I'm always happy to hear it get some love. I love how you matched the clip of the lights coming on with the "ah ah ah" part of the music. I think the third episode of a season should be S/A from now on, since the first two are so good. I just know I'm going to love this episode, thanks to your video. I love the pacing, the colors, how it's not effects ridden...great job. Faving it. ~T

@optimisticrainyday Thank you! Unfortunately I've been a bit disappointed with season three overall. This was my favorite episode thus far. I just don't feel as much of an emotional connection to the show. Hahaha "how its not effects ridden" yeah I've never been an effect heavy vidder. For myself, I love the clean look. But I still tend to watch effects heavy videos in awe and feel a twinge of jealousy! :)

Holy shit. That was so beautiful. 3x03 was easily one of my favourite episodes despite the fact I hated Peter....however, you made me love him!!! It was unbelivably stunning and I hope you continue to make more Misfits videos!

This episode was SO good (actually the new season is really good !!!) and your editing is WOW, like seriously, I so love this song and the way you editied the clips to it, this was just so good !

I personally ship simon/alisha quite hard so the guy kinda annoyed me BUT he was a great addition to the show and i just loved his power. Bit bummed he died but well, maybe we'll see him again^^ i just really love the simon arc in general and i so cannot wait to see more !

I think this is really amazing! I thought I was disappointed in season 3 but I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't want to watch episodes of the departure of Nathan's; brand new Rudy, right?"the twins" was not too bad :D this is one of my favorite episodes, I liked Peter, though, played a character of unknown - positive or negative doesn't matter .. Your video made him better <3 unbelievably gorgeous work , thank you for this :) ohh & love the counter in the end :3
