Valve released the first-person shooter 'Half-Life' in 1998, and a year later a TV show called 'Seven Days' aired season 2 episode 6 on UPN. What do these have in common? Listen and learn...
Seven Days was actually a pretty fun show. I hear stuff like this all the time - sound effects especially, but sometimes music too, as it the case with this interesting little coincidence.
cool

If you're going to plagiarize music, plagiarize the best...but I think the composer for this show might have been Kelly Bailey...or just plagiarism.

That's a good find, but I think Kelly Bailey (Valve's composer) simply used some stock music.

Actually, i'd like to point out that Half-Life's composer no doubt used many of the same stock riffs, beats and so forth that you hear here, as many of these same instruments also appeared in a series called "Roughnecks : Starship Troopers chronicles." There was also a brief use of notation in here that made its way into Doom 3's ambient scape sounds.
