I had the mount for my motorcycle and thought I would make it work with my MP3 500. The bracket is not the right size but it works well, very solid.

  • That's cool, I'm getting one here in a couple of months, are they easy to maintain, like whats the most frequent maintenance it needs done. Good video BTW.

  • Frankly there is no maintenance other than charging the batteries. When I get around to it I need to hook it up to the bike's power supply. I am currently running off the built in TomTom batteries which is good enough for me but for longer rides (>5 hours) I would run out of power.

  • Are you still able to see the Odometer and all? It looks like the TomTom is blocking it. I don't think I would like to block the gauges like that.

  • Thanks so much. That was very helpful. I'm looking into the nav unit that's intended for the machine. (Mine's black). I'm in Canada and parts can take a couple of months to get at this point.

  • I have been thinking about getting the MP3 500 but live in a hilly / mountainous area. Do you know how well it pulls grades? I don't want to get stuck doing 20mph up a steep hill.
