Live Köln Germany 6th March 1975.
Lead vocals by Bob Andrews & Nick Lowe.
Brinsley Schwarz never recorded this song on any of their albums (Ian Gomm eventually did it).
"Love is Gone" was written by Alex Call of Clover; their 1st and 2nd albums (before Huey Lewis joined them) are a mix of country-rock and R&B, and sure were an influence on Brinsley Schwarz themselves.
very "Byrds" like group in the beginning.

I used to love seeing the Brinsleys live, love the way they sing and play together, made a great antidote to excesses of Gong and VdGG, like a lovely cup of tea after getting home from a late night out. Billy Rankin, I salute you!

Nick Lowe needed someone to take his sweaters away. Check out the booze on the amps...sweet.

These guys were great because they were so unconcerned with rock star trappings-I mean, look at the drummer!

How often did Bob sing lead vocals? So, he's more than just one of the greatest keyboard players in the history of rock n roll?

It's not often you see someone wearing a pullover on stage! What a great band the Brinsleys were live.

Carlene Carter recorded this (backed by most of the Brinsleys) on her first album in 1978. Great clip; thanks.
