Well, I'm probably get downvoted to hell for this, but I actually like this song. I found this one first, then found The Jam's version after this. Both are good songs, no denying that.

Weller's a mod like me, and everyone knows mods move forward. We don't look back, mods evolve. Sure it's butchered, but it's just today's music. And you just have to look past all the shite and go on. Anybody heard Paul's song 'Starlite'? It's of the same character, they're both just evolving man.

Damn... Why does everyone get up in arms when an artist makes a cover of an older song? Everyone talks about how they love the original and hate this one, they say Mark ruined it... I like this version, Santogold's voice add's a nice edge to the song and Mark did well with the instrumentation... And if not for him, a lot of younger people wouldnt know the original... This should be flattering to those who made the original.... Keep it up Mark!
