James Cameron "Xenogenesis"

A short film directed by James Cameron in 1978, co-written with Randall Frakes

This video was truncated during upload (the original is about 12 minutes long) but you can see the full version here:

http://www.filmthreat.com/index.php?section=videos&Id=59

The male lead is William Wisher, who co-wrote Terminator 2 (he also has cameo appearances in the first two Terminator movies, as a cop knocked out by Arnold in the first and in the second, as a bystander taking photos when Arnold is thrown through the mall window by the T1000).

William Wisher and Randall Frakes wrote the movie novelisations for the first two Terminator movies.

I think the paintings at the beginning are by Cameron.

  • @the13thchild33 His dream was supposedly the moment when the Terminator moves through the fire at the end with glowing red eyes. It probably was such a strong image to him because he kind of recreated it during the title sequence in T2 when the Terminator's face again surrounded by fire closes in on the screen.

  • i wonder how he created that place with the grey dark walls/ floors and the white parts all over.. thats cool

  • LOL William Wisher is the guy with the yellow shirt...

  • I don't think James Cameron's idea for Terminator came to him in a dream...there is a lot of stuff in here that reminds me of Terminator...like the human looking guy with the robot arm and the robot thing that looks like the machine in Terminator 3

  • James Cameron is the best movie-maker ever !!

  • James Cameron is possibly the most perfect human being anyone has ever seen. I vote him for 2012 President.

  • on Oprah, cameron mentioned his early films could be found online. had to check it out myself. this guy's a genius

  • interesting

  • thank you SO much for posting this!

  • Concept-art is frikkin awesome. Jim is the badass artist.
