I remember her 2nd album coming out [this was a single off it] and it not being off my turntable [remember them!] for a long time. Great voice and guitar playing and songs from Joan........Here with the brilliant Jerry Donahue on guitar.
P.S. When "Harold & Maude" came out here in PDX, was around 1977ish..so that is when her performance was included. It was just her, with some soft lighting, I think in a purple shirt...quiet in her soul, yet a big, big voice.
It was totally unexpected that first time, the lights came up around her, and we just looked at each other, like, " what???" Oh, this must be a preview!" Then we were glad and felt like we had experienced something powerful yet intimate in a theater full of people.
This song was played as an opening before the movie "Harold & Maude" here in Portland, OR. After going to see HER as a priority then the movie like six times, I was at work in a quiet dental office when it was announced she was coming for a concert at the Paramount...I actually let out a little scream! I bought the album once best guy friend and I got sick of the movie. Tickets were only $2.00 or $5.00 that the Paramount theater hosted in a concert series called "Catch a Rising Star".
I love this song too - and I am older!!
