I really love this song. I first heard it as cover by White Stripes and I cried. How can one woman ask another not to take away her beloved. Well, I think it's the saddest thing for woman to happen, excluding all that drama: death etc.

That is true her hair was not dirty blonde as the other person said. Her hair is blonde and long. She wanted to look like the lady of the night she admired when she was young along with her makeup. I was at one of her concerts in the 70's. She still states it takes alot of money to look that cheap. LOL She says it in interviews too. Not making fun of her. I love her songs. She was very sweet when I met her. She is just like she is on T.V. God Bless Her.
