Sultan Turk Marching Band
Sultan High School, Sultan, Washington

Band Director: Jill Sumpter

Veteran's Day Parade, Auburn, Washington, November 6, 2010
(Veteran's Day National Holiday is November 11.)

Between the parade and the field show, the Turks were awarded the following in the AA division (bands with 50-75 members):
Second Place Parade
Best Colorguard
Best Marching
Best General Effect

The band division is based on band size, not high school size. What makes this all the more remarkable for the Turks is that almost 1/5 of Sultan High students are in the band, a way higher relative band size than most high schools.

(I'm more than proud to be a graduate of Sultan High class of 1964 and also a U.S. Navy Veteran.)

Note: I do not own the copyright to this material.
This was uploaded primarily so that the high school students and their director can review their performance for educational purposes, and secondarily so the students and their families can view the performance.
