Princess guitar was designed and owned by French legendary guitarist Marcel Dadi, who passed away in TWA crash in 1996. This timeless piece of archtop guitar sculpture was finished in 1989 by french top-luthier Frank Cheval with incomparable attention to detail. As you maybe know, Marcel had a wonderfully close relationship with Chet Atkins, and was the first non-American to be honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame. For its combination of workmanship and identity, this guitar ranks amongst the most valuable guitars available today.

  • What I Wouldn't Do For That Guitar, But Then Again, I'm An Archtop Guitar Nut. So of Course I'm Mad About This Guitar.

  • Gary Moore's LesPaul was sold for one million US$, a chunk of wood compared to this best archtop woodwork ever...? So how much is this guitar really worth? Many people write me reg. prices paid for Hendrix and Clapton guitars and how ridiculous guitar business is. This guitar is waiting for a serious collector, and part of the money is planned for Marcel's kids. Carlos Juan.

  • Yes, The God Picker. Thank you.

  • Dadi was a remarkable player and this is a lovely guitar but anyone who knows about vintage guitars knows this is not the most expensive guitar.

  • Maybelle Carter's Gibson L-5 sold for $525,000 that along with the guitars of Merle, Les and Chet are more valuable than this guitar.

I do think it is pretty but that is not the sole determination of it's value.

  • Steve Howe should own this guitar.

  • @carlosamps One of Hendrix's guitars brought a 350,000 US dollars just in law suit money from the before the economy crash to after when Hendrix's sister claimed the guitar was a fake. That was just $350K for nothing but someone being a bitch. It sold for stupid money of course, and it is just a Fender mass produced slab of wood on a stick. I build arch tops mando anything guitars etc The workmanship in a plain as mud archtop is extensive as hell. Now add carvings and inlays. .

  • Great Art !

  • Didn't the Peter Green/Gary Moore '59 Les Paul go for $2 million?

  • @EddieEstes don't forget eddie cochrans gretsch 6120 or buddy holly's strat? i think there are way more important guitars out there than dadi's..not to say that it is not important

  • @6stringdaveyM Yes I know who he is. I knew him personally.

He even gave me a book of Chet tunes he transcribed.

  • @EddieEstes really?... Don't become an investment collector... do you really know who Marcel Dadi is? Chet, Merle and Les did....

  • i hate archtops and i have no idea who marcel dadi is but that is a truely beautiful piece of artwork. yes its beyond guitar in my opinion. so RIP marcel dadi, you guitar is stunning and im sure your playing was beyond excellent

  • It's quite nice, but I've seen some pre-war D45's go for over $500,000 with no particular history.... I would think if one came on that was owned by a famed picker it could fetch in the high 6 figures..

  • the narrator sounds like the voice on those annoying automated message calls -.-
