@mslinkzelda1 I think that these are available online -- try Googling 'space suit costume' (sorry I don't have a particular site in mind). The helmet itself looks like it's a somewhat rigid Mylar that was vacuformed into shape (like a Halloween mask but thinner) and doesn't seal at the bottom. Heavier-gauge vinyl could work for a DIY helmet, with 12 being about like what HAZMAT bubble helmets look like.

She might have seen it in a catalog and asked for it for Christmas but perhaps was camera-shy? It looked like it was just bopping around on her shoulders, and the 'helmet' was probably unusual for her. I wouldn't blame her for getting frustrated , with the bubble over her face (it looked like stiff plastic with a good air gap at the bottom anyway), the 'balloon' on her shoulders, and her hair going where it wanted.
