On a recent trip to New Zealand, beetproductions.nl shot this story of a family who travelled by foot, mountain bike and kayak (funyak) from the upper reaches of a branch of the Rangitata River in Mesopotamia to the Arundel Bridge, about 8 kilometres from Peel Forest.

The family had recently lost their wife/mother to cancer, and the reason for this journey was to spend quality time in the outdoors together, to deepen family relationships using multi-sport as the medium and to discover hidden parts of New Zealand.

This breath-taking journey was filled at times with adrenaline action yet always safe with excellent instruction guidance from a family based company.

Spectacular scenery in a remote high country area, backed with a melodic soundtrack

The journey was supported by alps2ocean.co.nz
