@masonentreri What exactly am I denying? What parts of this make-believe documentary correspond to literal fact -- and if you're going to claim it, please direct me to something credible, like some published source material, not just something *you're* making up or heard about or remember.
If I see if, then I'll believe it. Otherwise, the evidence I have convinces me that that this is simply a work of fiction dressed up like a documentary like any number of other such pseudo-documentaries.

@jin54363 "Actually" it's based on a real story the same way that Psycho and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are based on "real stories" - that is - they're really not. It's a "real story" only to the microscopic extent that there was a serial killer at one time in Poughkeepsie. Period. That's it. That's the full extent of it's connection to reality. He didn't video tape his killings. He didn't stalk and tape his victims. He didn't kidnap a girl and keep her hostage. None of that is true.
It's fiction.

It constantly amazes me how gullible people are. If a real "house of horrors" like this had actually been discovered -- with *800* video tapes of murder victims, it would have been the lead story on every network news station in the whole frigging world. Was it? Anyone remember that? No. Why? Because it never happened.
And if it did happen and the killer was still at large, the tapes would be evidence in an active case and wouldn't be released to the public.
This is a work of fiction!
