There was an awkward pause and then Joe said, "Well...I'm just gonna go and get Kevin to talk to Mandy."
"Wow. I thought you were gonna say you were going to get a cookie!" Liz was impressed.
"Oh that's a better idea!" Joe exclaimed. He ran downstairs, grabbed a handful of cookies, shoved some into his mouth and then ran back upstairs and into Kevin's room.
"Hey buddy." Joe spit a bit of cookie on Kevin.
"Hi." Kevin flicked it off.
"You have to go and talk to Mandy...like now. Kristy and Liz are really upset that you guys are fighting and Mandy is upset of course...and I am the gangsta of love so you better listen to me." Joe pointed to himself with the hand that had the cookies in them and he accidently smashed them all over himself.
"Um...okay?" Kevin stepped over Joe, who was kneeling on the floor, eating the cookie crumbs, and went over to Mandy's door.
"Mandy can we talk?" Kevin knocked gently on the door.
"Go away Kevin!" Mandy yelled.
"Mandy please!" Kevin opened the door and stepped in, closing it behind himself.
Mandy was under her covers on her bed. When Kevin walked in she pulled them tighter around herself. Kevin sat down next to the lump that he assumed was Mandy. "Mandy. I swear I didn't kiss Kim! She kissed me and Liz just had bad timing!"
Flinging her covers off of herself Mandy asked in a dark voice, "But the question is, did you kiss back?"
Kevin was silent for a few seconds and then dropped his head saying, "Yes...but that's because I wasn't thinking..." he paused and looked at her, "and I forgot about how much more amazing it feels to kiss you."
"Aww!" Mandy and Kevin heard Joe say from outside of the door.
They heard Kristy and Liz step on Joe's feet and shush him.
Mandy laughed and shook her head. Kevin smiled, "I love it when you laugh." Mandy blushed and kissed him. Joe couldn't take it anymore. He burst in and flung his arms around the two of them.
"I'm so happy!" Joe cried out.
"Joe...can't...breathe!" Mandy choked out.
"Ohh sorry." Joe let go and Mandy and Kevin gasped for breath.
"You stink." Mandy wrinkled up her nose at Joe as Liz and Kristy walked in.
"Well we can't have that now can we?" Joe hurried out of the room and came back two seconds later reeking of cologne.
"Eww Joe how much did you put on?" Kristy coughed.
"What ever was left." Joe breathed in. "Ahh I love the smell of...myself."
"Anyway, one relationship problem down, one to go." Liz sighed.
"What do you mean?" Kevin asked.
"Nick's whole 'I love Kristy but I still love Selena' thing." Mandy said.
"Yeah...how did you know?" Liz raised an eyebrow.
"I heard him go downstairs and he was muttering something about her under his breath." Mandy shrugged.
Kristy was quiet. "Do you really think he still loves her?" she looked at the floor.
Liz bit her lip and put an arm around Kristy. "Sis...yeah...but that's normal! He'll be over her by tomorrow. I promise you that."
"No he won't." Kristy shook Liz's arm off and walked downstairs and out the door to where Nick was.
"Oh no." Mandy ran to the window and everyone followed. They could see Nick and Kristy talking and then yelling. "I can't hear what they're saying." Mandy cracked open the window. Nick and Kristy's voices trailed in.
"Kristy you're being stupid!" Nick yelled.
"No you are! Nick it's over!" Kristy screamed. She stomped away. They watched Nick shakily fall to his knees. The front door opened and Kristy walked back upstairs and into her own room, gently closing the door behind herself. Liz and Mandy waited to hear crying and spring to her aid but there was no crying.
"I'm really confused." Kevin sat down on Mandy's bed.
"Join the club. We have jackets." Joe sat next to him.
"Um...you two might want to go talk to Nick." Liz was still looking out the window.
"Why?" Kevin and Joe asked at the same time.
"Oh...no reason...he's just lying on the sand crying his eyes out...." Liz turned to them and crossed her arms.
Joe sighed, "What up with all the drama?" he and Kevin trudged out of the room.
"Wow...." Mandy and Liz stared as Kevin and Joe carried a sobbing and shaking Nick to his room. "He so loved her."
"Aww poor Nick! What the heck is up with Kristy?" Liz sat down and rested her head on her sister's shoulder. "This is all so weird."
"Tell me about it." Mandy sighed and pulled up Liz, "Come on, let's go talk to her."
"Aww can't I just...take a nap?" Liz yawned and laid down on Mandy's bed. "Ahh so soft." Liz suddenly snored and was fast asleep. Mandy rolled her eyes and went into Kristy's room.
