Don't misunderstand John... There is ALWAYS something to do around here! If not feeding animals, or tending garden, it's painting, mending fence, or cutting firewood. What's interesting is how I don't consider most of this as work. If you are doing something that is of direct benefit to your family... It just doesn't seem like work. I find myself "multitasking" and praising God all the time for the opportunity, to do these things.

simpler living allows you to forget the diseases of lust and greed. when you sit by the fire at the end of the day and enjoy a good meal, your mind is clear and your heart is content.

Great vid. I think the resource based economy (based on no money) is the way to go.

I just want to share this video:
search: First Baptist Marco (delete spaces) on you tube. The name of video is: "What's Driving This Market?"
This is very frightening, markets dropping 40%. Is this possible?

pardon my macro-financial ignorance - can someone please explain what the significance of the Fed being the largest buyer of Treasuries is? second time I've heard this today...

It means that we are eating our own tail finanically. In other words, we are buying our own debt with more debt. That will lower the dollar's worth. Look up Wiemar Republic on wikki! It is what is going to happen to us if we keep doing this stuff.
Peace.

One thing I would caution you against is that our current economy is not Capitalist. Capitalism isn't based on debt. It is based on savings. If it's not, then it's a departure or a caricature of Capitalism. Try not to confuse actual Capitalism with these aberrations of Capitalism. "Poverty & Wealth: Why Socialism Doesn't Work" by Ronald H. Nash. Ludwig Von Mises Type Philosopher that I highly recommend. He died in 2006 though. Take care!

I agree, but what about those who dont want to contribute to the community and want everything handed to them?

Nature has a way to correct that problem. It will be what it will be. One needs to see for oneself what nature and the Creator has to offer in this world. It is free to all. We must leave our "Slave" mentality and move on toward freedom.
Peace.
John.
