how did you bypass the issue's with the radio?

gmrc-03 is the bypass module.

yea this is what every audio shop tells me i need, but when i do some research on it people say the problems still come back after about a week, lots of cadillac owners say the radio has to stay in the car for the security system to see that its there....

@trailertrash20010 the other option is to run the factory harness to the rear and connect your stock radio. Then just run all new wires for the aftermarket system. Its a pain in the ass, but is what was done before the gmrc-03.

That's weird because I own a 98 Deville also and the GMRC-03 harness didn't work... it only shuts off my headunit half the time and the other half it either cuts the power to the headunit completely or nothing happens. Got it exchanged and the second one did the same. I ended up extending some wires from the factory harness and installed the factory deck above the right tire well.
