I wrote this song today. It feels more like 'it' wrote itself. That happens sometimes.

The past is left behind us, both good times and bad
Each soul, individual, and the many lives we've had
Some had great abundance, while others hid their tear's
Before this night is over, there'll be whisper's in our ear's

Love isn't a great secret, yet somehow IT seems to be
It doesn't take a scholar, or some fancy 'PhD'
The Son came to serve, and His followers do the same
Though they're in the world, they're not in the game

Some think that when its over, all is said and done
Every word that was spoken, was paid for by the Son
All the low down dealin,' and all that we hold dear
Before this night is over, we'll see the trail of year's

Taught to Love each other, and forgive each one their sin
Sometimes it's hard to live up to, all the memories and gin
Take care of what we listen to, and heed The Word we hear
Before this night is over, the mystery will be clear

Love IS the very essence, of the One who sets us free
And those of Love are His, for all eternity
Let not our understandin' be, from flesh and bones, in vain
The spirit and the body, friend's, they're ridin' different train's

As it was in the beginning, and forever now, will be
The Love and grace of God, His gift for you and me
Through perilous moment's, and time ahead, so drear
Before this night is over, the future is right here!
